Carolina Henríquez Leschot

Chile - Chapter Leader

Carolina Henríquez Leschot has been involved in animal rescue since 2004 and marine conservation since 2012, when she joined the Chilean chapter of Sea Shepherd. In 2013, she became the NGO’s National Director, a position she held until the chapter closed in 2021. During this time, Carolina also participated in international campaigns in the Faroe Islands in 2014 and 2015, as well as Opération Nyamba in Mayotte in 2017. In Chile, she led activities including beach cleanups and seabird habitat monitoring, along with national campaigns such as Operación Humboldt in Punta de Choros from 2012 to 2017 and Operación Ritoque from 2018 to 2020. Today, Carolina and a dedicated group of volunteers have joined the Captain Paul Watson Foundation, where they continue their work to protect and conserve the ocean and its wildlife.
